About Me:

My name is Sophia Jiang, and I am currently a senior at Fort Worth Country Day. In the upcoming fall, I will be attending Barnard College of Columbia University in New York City, planning to double-major in Ancient Studies and Economics with a minor in Dance. I have always been fascinated by the Ancient Mediterranean, and I look forward to exploring it more in the future.

Objective:

In the Ancient Mediterranean, I have always been interested in a particular region: Ancient Greece. I was particularly drawn to Ancient Athens, widely considered the world's first democracy. I am interested in studying the exclusionary principles of their democracy and comparing them with those of modern democracy in America today. I hope to develop my ideas further in college, perhaps by conducting research for a senior thesis.
